World Travel Market Africa has announced it will expand to a three-day event this year following the success of its debut in 2014.
Growing demand among exhibitors and visitors has led to the additional day, after 4,000 professionals attended the inaugural event last spring.
Its floor space has also been increased by 50% but will still take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), from 15-17 April.
“WTM Africa 2014 attracted exhibitors from all over Africa and beyond, and is the only tradeshow of its kind on the African continent to focus on inbound and outbound travel, resulting in $314 million (£189m) of travel industry deals,” said exhibition manager Sheree Simpson. “The 2015 edition of WTM Africa will see a greater number of business deals and amount of business conducted over the event’s three days.”
