Swiss-Belhotel International wins record breaking honours

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Global hospitality management chain, Swiss-Belhotel International, has been named Indonesia's Leading Global Hotel Chain for a record-breaking fifth consecutive year at the Indonesia Travel and Tourism Awards 2014-15.

At the same ceremony, held on 15 December 2014 at a glittering gala event in Jakarta, Swiss-Belinn SKA Pekanbaru, Riau was named Indonesia's Leading New MICE Venue.

The prestigious honours bookend a year in which Swiss-Belhotel International continued to launch properties in key markets, introducing its hospitality hallmarks of passion and professionalism Indonesia as well throughout Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Mr. Gavin M. Faull, Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President, said the awards again emphasised the group's leadership position in Indonesia, where it operates 42 properties and has 53 under development.

"Indonesia has always been, and will always be, a very important market for us. It was where we started this journey over 25 years ago and it is from here that we have expanded our portfolio across the region to more than 125 hotels and resorts."

The MICE award came shortly after ska Co Ex – a Swiss-Belinn ska Pekanbaru-managed, international-standard meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions venue – opened in the heart of the bustling port city.
