The Anchorage Port Stephens is enjoying renewed popularity after its recent refurbishment with January one of the resort's most successful in many years, with 95% occupancy for the month.

The recent upgrade has attracted many guests from throughout the Hunter, North Coast and Sydney who have enjoyed an enhanced experience due to the resort’s upgraded accommodation, new waterfront dining options, expanded pool area and indulgent inclusions.

What many resorts deem as luxury, the Anchorage now includes as standard, including scented bath bombs for Spa Lofts, waffle bathrobes in all rooms, expanded mini-bars featuring regional Australia wines, delicious Madame Flavour tea in all rooms and free guest use of kayaks and stand up paddle boards.

Anchorage general manager Lisa Knowlson said already summer was proving the most successful on record, with a buoyant domestic market paying dividends for the $6 million investment.

Ms Knowlson said guests enjoyed the convenience of escape to a luxury resort that was a short travelling distance from their homes in Sydney, the Hunter and North Coast.

She said she expected the resort’s popularity to grow during 2015 with further upgrades planned throughout the year. The resort’s fine dining restaurant will be relaunched this year and the day spa will be transformed into the leading day spa in the Hunter region.
