Wanda Hotels and Resorts re-elected as the Best Hotel Management Group of the Year

BEIJING - The "World Travel Award" sponsored by Travel & Leisure magazine was successfully held recently in Beijing. Wanda Hotels and Resorts was re-elected as the "Best Hotel Management Group of the Year" thanks to its rapid development and excellent performance in 2014, especially the contributions to developing the Chinese hotel brand and expanding in overseas markets. Meanwhile, seven subordinate hotels of the Group have won multiple honors, respectively.

The "World Travel Award" has been held for seven successive years since 2008 by Travel & Leisure, the famous mainstream travel magazine in China. As one of the most authoritative ceremonies in China's tourism industry, the evaluation for the award lasts for one year in an objective and comprehensive manner, covering the entire tourism industry around the world. In this ceremony, more than 150 guests, including ambassadors from various embassies in China, and guests from foreign tourist administrations and industries of hotels, airlines, travel agencies and fashion & luxury, witnessed the presentation of the awards.

In 2014, Wanda Hotels and Resorts opened 18 self-owned hotels and rebranded two hotels, with more than 71 subordinate high-end 5-star hotels. Its self-owned luxury hotel brand, Wanda Reign, was successfully established in Wuhan, and has remained the leader in Wuhan's hotel industry ever since. The Group also announced its expansion plan in overseas markets in 2018, and is ready to establish Wanda Vista Hotels in London, Madrid, Chicago, Sydney, and Gold Coast, among other locations.

In 2015, Wanda Hotels and Resorts will maintain its overall development growth and open 12 self-owned hotels and 2 contracted out hotels, including Xishuangbanna International Tourist Complex which owns three hotels, Wanda Reign Shanghai Hotel to be opened at the end of the year, and Wanda Reign Chengdu Hotel.
