DANANG  Visitors to Danang will have a chance to see the city’s sights hovering in helicopter.
The aerial tour service is set for an official launch in April.
According to a local media report, Vietnam Helicopter Corporation said the tour should start 24 April.
A test flight was conducted last week to allow dignitaries and media to experience the helicopter tours.
The company spokesperson, Pham Ngoc Diep, said a trip of between 15 and 25 minutes would cost between USD125 to USD175 per passenger.
inside no 4“We have already launched helicopter tours in Halong bay, Phu Quoc and Nha Trang,” he said.
The Danang tour will use new helicopters that can take six tourists on a flight.
The company plans to offer tours to Ly Son Island in Quang Ngai province, Cu Lao Cham in Quang Nam province and Son Doong, the world’s largest cave in Quang Binh province.
The city’s People’s Committee deputy head, Vo Duy Khuong, said the new service will help diversify the city’s tourism products, but called for fares to be reduced to gain the confidence of locals and tourists.
Last year, the city welcomed 3.8 million tourists, including 1 million foreigners.
