CHG announces Thailand office to serve as CHG Southeast Asia Headquarters

BANGKOK - Cachet Hotel Group (CHG) announced it has opened a new office in Bangkok, Thailand to grow its footprint in the Southeast Asia region and to serve as the headquarters for a Global Design Center.

"Our new Southeast Asia office underscores our commitment to this region," said Alexander Mirza, CEO and President of CHG. "Furthermore, the establishment of an in-house design team will enable CHG to execute efficient conversions, lower development costs and deliver design innovation, resulting in higher returns on invested capital for our hotel owners and developers."

Effective immediately, Aaron Griffiths has been promoted to President of Southeast Asia. In this new position, Griffiths will oversee the CHG's luxury boutique hotel project currently under development in Bangkok and South East Asian development activities including hotels, resorts, and mixed-use developments. Aaron Griffiths has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality sector, 15 of which were spent with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Also, effective immediately, Liming Rao is named as Managing Director of Design. Rao brings over 15 years of hospitality design experience with a focus on luxury and boutique hotels and resorts such as Banyan Tree, Grand Hyatt and Jumeirah in China.

Rao began his career at the Taylor Hariri Pontarini Architects, a leading Canadian full-service architectural practice where he specialized in the architectural and interior design of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. More recently, Rao joined CHG from Wing Tai Asia, a Singapore based international real-estate firm, where he oversaw the design and development of Wing Tai's trophy project, ultra luxury residential condominium, Le Nouvel Ardmore . Rao holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore and a BA from the University of Toronto.

CHG's Global Design Center will collaborate closely with CHG's exclusive hotel designer Jay Godfrey and other leading designers in the areas of restaurants, nightlife, and entertainment.

To further fuel CHG's expansion, an executive search is underway for a Bangkok -based Director of Business Development who will be responsible for expanding CHG's hotel portfolio throughout Southeast Asia.
