Changi Airport Singapore was named as the World's Best Airport by air travellers for the third consecutive year at the 2015 World Airport Awards, held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Barcelona, Spain.

Attending the Awards event in Paris, Mr Lee Seow Hiang, Chief Executive Officer of Changi Airport Group said "It is a great honour to be named World's Best Airport by Skytrax for the third year running. Changi Airport enjoyed double success at the Awards receiving the award as Best Airport for Leisure Amenities. - SIN: Best Airport 50 million+ passengers
- ICN: Best Airport 30-40 million passengers
- ZRH: Best Airport 20-30 million passengers
- YVR: Best Airport 10-20 million passengers
- NGO: Best Airport 5-10 million passengers
- DUR: Best Airport under 5 million passengers

Abu Dhabi International Airport Mr Saif Al Mazrouei, Chairman's Office Director, accepted the 4-Star Airport ranking 2015 at the start of the awards event, before collecting the prestigious award for the Best Airport Staff Service in the Middle East.

Auckland Airport was a repeat winner at the 2014 awards, for the 6th year running of the "Best Airport in Australia/Pacific region."

Bengaluru International Airport was a first time winner at the awards, with the Chairman of Bangalore International Airport, Mr Bodapati Bhaskar and Mr Hari Marar President of BIAL Airport Operations collecting the award for the Best Regional Airport in Central Asia and India.

Bogota El Dorado International Airport was honored at the start of the awards ceremony, with their CEO Mr Andres Ortega receiving the 4-Star Airport ranking 2015 for El Dorado Airport, also collecting the prestigious title for Best Airport Staff Service in South America.

Brisbane Airport made a welcome return to the World Airport Awards stage, receiving the award for the Best Airport Staff Service in the Australia / Pacific region.

Budapest International Airport collected the Award for Best Airport in Eastern Europe for the second year running, with their COO, Mr Peter Huszka attending the event in Paris.

Cape Town International Airport was one of the three ACSA airports honored at the event, with CPT Terminal Manager Lebohang Motasi receiving the Award for the Best Airport Staff Service in Africa.

Central Japan International Airport, Nagoya celebrated double-success at the World Airport Awards, with their GM Customer Services, Mr Hitoshi Kamiya, receiving the global award as the World's Best Regional Airport, and also collecting the award as Best Regional Airport in Asia.

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport made a first appearance at the World Airport Awards, with Vice Director Mr Xiao Li receiving the award as the Best Regional Airport in China.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport continues its successful run at the awards by winning the Best Regional Airport North America for the 5th year in a row, received by the airport CEO, Ms Candace McGraw.

Cologne/Bonn Airport emerged winners of this most competitive category, with Director of Marketing, Mr Ulrich Stiller, receiving the award for the Best Regional Airport in Europe.

Copenhagen Airport received the award as the Best Airport in Northern Europe and were runners-up for the world's Best Airport Security, with CPH Vice President Operations, Mr Kristian Durhuus attending the event.

Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport was a repeat winner of the award as Best Airport in Central Asia & India, with DEL Airport's CEO, Mr Prabhakara Rao collecting this accolade for the second time.

Durban King Shaka International Airport was another ACSA airport honored, with DUR Terminal Manager Fani Mphaphuli collecting the Award as the Best Regional Airport in Africa, this for the second year running.

Gold Coast Airport was named the Best Regional Airport in Australia and Pacific region. David Collins, COO of Gold Coast Airport said: “The most significant part of these awards is that they are based on feedback from our passengers – it is not an award that the airport can enter. So to be recognised by the travelling public based on their experiences at Gold Coast Airport is very important. On behalf of all our staff at Gold Coast Airport, we are truly honoured to win this award. Haikou Meilan International Airport in China's Hainan Province, was named winner of the award for the Best Airport Staff Service in China, with their Vice President, Mr Wu Jian, receiving the award.

Hamad International Airport Doha celebrated it's first year of operations by being named the Best Airport in the Middle East, with their COO, Mr Badr Al Meer, collecting the award.

Hong Kong International Airport, ranked No 4 in the world, was a double winner in the 2015 awards. HKIA Deputy Director Projects, Mr Kevin Poole, accepted the awards for the world's Best Airport Dining Experience and the world's Best Airport Immigration Service.

Incheon International Airport, Seoul, runner up to Singapore Changi Airport for the global Best Airport title, was also a double winner in 2015, receiving the Best International Transit Airport and Best Airport Terminal Cleanliness awards.

Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport was the final ACSA airport honored, with JNB General Manager Bongiwe Pityi collecting the Award as the Best Airport in Africa, a title that JNB has held since the awards started in 2000.

Kansai International Airport ranked No 12 in the world, was another double winner in the 2015 awards. KIX Executive Officer Mr Katsuhiro Yamaguchi accepted the awards for the World's Best Low Cost Terminal (T2) and the World's Best Airport for Baggage Delivery.

Kazan International Airport was honored at the start of the awards ceremony, with Director General, Mr Alexey Starostin, receiving the 4-Star Airport ranking 2015 for Kazan Airport. The airport also received the award as the Best Regional Airport Russia & CIS for the second year running.

Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, represented by their COO/CCO, Ms Sabine Trenk, enjoyed their continued domination amongst South American airports, being named the Best Airport in South America for the 10th consecutive time.

London Heathrow Airport up to No 8 in the global ratings, enjoyed a hat-tick of success in the 2015 Awards. Heathrow Airport's COO, Mr Normand Boivin received the three awards, as Best Airport in Western Europe, the World's Best Airport Terminal (T5) and the "World's Best Airport Shopping."

Madrid-Barajas Airport whose T4 was ranked no 3 in the world as the Best Airport Terminal, was winner of the award for Best Airport in Southern Europe, with the airport Managing Director, Mrs Elena Mayoral receiving this accolade.

Moscow Domodedovo International Airport was again selected by customers as the Best Airport in Russia and CIS, and DME Head Of Marketing, Daria Korshunova, attended the event to receive the award.

Munich Airport ranked No 3 in the world, was again a double winner at the 2015 awards. The CEO of Munich Airport, Dr Michael Kerkloh, received the awards as the Best Airport in Europe and the Best Airport in Central Europe.

Panama Tocumen Airport celebrated double success awards, with their CEO, Mr Joseph Fidanque, collecting the awards as the Best Airport in Central America/Caribbean and the Best Airport Staff in Central America/Caribbean.

Paris CDG Airport enjoyed global success, with the President Director General of Aeroports de Paris, Mr Augustin de Romanet, receiving the CDG Award as the World's Most Improved Airport.

San Francisco International Airport celebrated success at the awards, named winner as for Best Airport Staff Service in North America for the second year running, Ms Cheryl Nashir, SFO Director Revenue Development attending the event in Paris.

Sanya Phoenix International Airport collected the accolade as the World's Best Airport VIP Terminal for the second year running, with the airport Vice President, Mr Wang Bosheng, receiving the award Paris.

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport was the inaugural winner of the prestigious award for the World's Best Airport Staff Service, their CEO Mr David Fei attending the event in Paris, and also collecting the awards for the Best Airport Staff Service in Asia.

Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) ranked No 5 worldwide, enjoyed global success with the JAT President, Mr Isao Takashiro accepting the award as the World's Best Domestic Airport. Haneda Airport was also winner of the award for the World's Best Airport Security Processing, this award being received by TIAT Managing Director, Mr Shigeyuki Taguchi.

Vancouver International Airport continued it's dominance by again being named by customers as the Best Airport in North America. "We're both proud and humbled to be selected as the No 1 Airport in North America for the sixth consecutive year at by Skytrax World Airport Awards," said Craig Richmond, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. Vienna International Airport celebrated success in the most competitive category by winning the award for the Best Airport Staff Service in Europe, with the COO of Vienna Airport, Mr Julian Jager receiving the accolade in Paris.

The world's best airport hotels
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport was named the World's Best Airport Hotel, a category previously dominated by Regal Airport Hong Kong who were placed 2nd in this year's results.

Hilton Munich Airport wins the Award as the Best Airport Hotel in Europe, with the Movenpick Hotel Bahrain named the Best Airport Hotel in the Middle East.

Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport wins the award as Best Airport Hotel in China, and The Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel is a repeat winner as the Best Airport Hotel in North America.

Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is the Best Airport Hotel in Australia/Pacific, and InterContinental Hotel Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport the Best Airport Hotel in Africa.
