Season II: Thailand Extreme MakeOver

BANGKOK  To boost Thailand’s medical tourism segment, the Tourism Authority of Thailand invites tourists to participate in the “Thailand Extreme MakeOver Season II”.
The competition gives participant the chance to win cash, a beauty transformation and travel in Thailand for free.
Thailand is a top destination for medical treatments and check ups due its world-class facilities and high standard of medical staff to ensure the quality of treatments and services.
Thailand is also one of the top-ranking destinations worldwide and with the combination of these strengths, the government believes the country can become a leading medical hub of Asia.
inside no 5TAT governor Thawatchai Arunyik said: “To fulfil government policy, TAT will launch the project, Thailand Extreme MakeOver, once again after receiving strong recognition last year.”
Thailand Extreme MakeOver Season 2 will be launched to support medical tourism through online channels. The campaign is in the form of a reality show that allows a direct experience of medical services, especially the beauty services. It will attract tourists to come to Thailand and boost growth in medical tourism.
The selection committee consists of qualified experts and medical staff. Three participants will be chosen to attend the contest and come to Thailand. They will undergo medical beauty treatments as well as enjoy tourist attractions in Thailand during their recovery.
All video clips of the three finalists will be uploaded during the contest and audiences will have a chance to vote for each contestant.
The one who gets the highest vote will be awarded USD5,000 and a package of luxury accommodation in Thailand.
The other two contestants will win accommodation prizes. Voters also have a chance to win beauty products as prizes.
TAT has opened the competition for both domestic and international tourists. Participants are required to fill in their personal medical record and send them with photos showing their faces, frontal and rear photos of their bodies to www.tourismthailand.org/thailandextrememakeover until the deadline 31 May.
Voting will be opened until 30 September.
