SINGAPORE - Journeyful, a Singapore-based travel-tech startup announced the launch of their iOS and Android based mobile app this week. The app is an extension of its existing reward based online travel agency – Journeyful.com; developed to help travellers search and book hotel stays worldwide.
“To us, building travel apps means making travel better” explains Moe Ibrahim, Journeyful’s CEO. “Having a mobile app is a natural step for us as all studies show an increasing usage of mobile to research travel. Therefore, we want to be where our customers are and provide a secure, user-friendly and updated platform where our users can research and book hotels on-the-go, with the confidence of booking the best deals without ever having to leave the app.”
Journeyful offers travellers a choice of over 200,000 hotels worldwide at the best price guaranteed. The app will show mobile users an interactive destination map with hotel listings in the area. This feature enables them to filter hotels by price, rating and location and allows users to make hotel bookings in 30 seconds with instant confirmation. Journeyful also provides a team of standby travel consultants and customer service executives who can assist users via phone or email.
“We are very excited about our newly released mobile app, created to support the needs of time constrained, on-the go consumers” explains Pallavi Malviya Gupta, Marketing & Communications Manager at Journeyful. “As part of the launch campaign we are giving users US$10 for downloading the app, and US$25 for registering on Journeyful.com – so that’s US$35 available for your first hotel booking!”
Featuring a unique rewards system, Journeyful allows users to earn reward dollars on hotel bookings as well as from their friends’ bookings via referrals rewards. In Q1 2015, Journeyful released several features to enhance usability and customer experience, including an open reviews feature that allows users to submit a hotel review along with photographs or videos. Other travellers can view reviews before booking the hotel and when someone up-votes the review, the user gets a Journeyful Reward. There are many more features in the pipeline.
