400 job vacancies of Hong Kong Airlines offered with overwhelming response received at Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo 2015

HONG KONG - Jointly organized by the Airport Authority and the Labour Department, the Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo 2015 was officially opened to public on June 5. As one of the key members of the local aviation industry, Hong Kong Airlines provided about 400 job vacancies at the Expo, attracting overwhelming response from job seekers on the first day.

At the first day of Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo 2015, Hong Kong Airlines booth attracted long queues of applicants.

An opening ceremony was held on the afternoon of 5 June, with Mr. Jack So Chak-kwong, Chairman of Airport Authority Hong Kong, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing Leung, The Secretary of Transport and Housing, and Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin Chung, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare as the guests of honor. The senior management team led by Mr. Zhang Kui, President of Hong Kong Airlines, greeted the officiating guests at Hong Kong Airlines’ booth and presented them the Company’s recruitment situation and latest development.

Job seekers visited the booth of Hong Kong Airlines for consultation and submitted application forms and CVs at the event.

Job seekers who were interested in the aviation industry flocked into the Expo after the official opening. During the first day of the event, hundreds of applicants visited the booth of Hong Kong Airlines for consultation and submitted application forms and CVs. Besides the majority who inquired about cabin service positions, there are also a number of job seekers interested in other positions including those of Engineering. Hong Kong Aviation Ground Service Limited (HAGSL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Airlines with official service inauguration in November 2014, has also attracted lots of attention from applicants who submitted forms and participated in on-site interviews. Successful applicants will not only be providing ground service to Hong Kong Airlines, but also be given opportunity to be involved in ground handling service for other airline companies.
