SHANGHAI - Hilton Worldwide was honored as one of 2015's Most Attractive Employers in China and received the Top One Industry Awards – Tourism from Universum, a global leader in employer branding that surveyed 55,000 students from 109 top universities across China in 2015. This is the third consecutive year that Hilton Worldwide has won the coveted award, demonstrating the success of the company's talent attraction and development program.

"The hospitality industry encompasses huge opportunities that are expected to generate 73 million new jobs by 2022. As a company that has built a strong reputation as an employer of choice in the hospitality industry, Hilton Worldwide is leading the way to attract, nurture and retain talent through different programs," said Lawrence Lee, vice president of Human Resources for Greater China & Mongolia at Hilton Worldwide. "Today, we are proud to receive this accolade for the third year in a row. We are also proud to be recognized as the top employer of the tourism industry in China. The award recognizes our efforts and our commitment to our employees, and validates our investment in cultivating world-class talent for China's hospitality industry. We'll continue to cultivate talent from all aspects to help them build their own careers and deliver exceptional service to guests."

Hilton Worldwide has in place an effective strategy in China to attract, develop and retain employees at all stages of their careers. In March 2015, Hilton Worldwide's Women in Leadership Committee in Greater China and Mongolia (GCM) released the results of a nationwide survey of its female workforce in China. In conjunction with the survey results, Hilton Worldwide organized the first "Women in Leadership" conference which was attended by 175 delegates from its China hotel leadership and high-performing female talent, demonstrating the company's pursuit of organizational excellence, talent development and equal opportunity.

In May 2015, Hilton Worldwide's properties in China took part in Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month, Hilton Worldwide's largest ever global career event, showcasing many of the opportunities available in the hospitality industry to young people. In addition, employees have cross-hotel, cross-region and cross-country job rotation and transfer opportunities. More importantly, the company's rapid development provides career development opportunities for all employees, and are not limited to hotels in Greater China, but to properties around the world.

As part of the largest global study on the new workforce, Universum's Chinese Student Survey is undertaken annually in China since 2006. In 2015, 55,000 students from 109 universities in China participated in the survey. Based on Universum's Chinese Student Survey, the ranking of China's Most Attractive Employers reveals how students perceive employers as well as their top choices for employment, which also helps organizations to better understand and attract promising talent.
