IMPACT centralizes on facility developments for local and international events

IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, streamlines its infrastructure developments to accommodate busy flow of visitors, convention goers, and exhibitors alike. Projects trace their roots to 2013 when IMPACT decided to give a fresh, new appearance to its Hall 9, known as IMPACT Forum today. The new name was given after the total renovation of 24 more meeting rooms, 2 brand new banquet halls, and a linking bridge between the Forum and Indoor Parking 2 building. The construction was done in January 2014.

Mr Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT, said “We are now moving on to another project that is the new 600 million baht parking facility called “Indoor Parking 3,” consisting of 2,000 more covered garages completed recently to alleviate parking chaos during mega events. The 10 storey building houses top name brand stores such as Nike, Adidas, Patagonia, Oakley, just to name a few and is fitted with a sky bridge allowing easy access to Exhibition Hall 1.”

Beside those mentioned above, IMPACT invests more than 100 million baht for the expansion of Exhibition Hall 1. The investment results in the addition of four brand new meeting rooms at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 1, called “Venus” named after the success of the Challenger Hall 1-3 as well as a multi-purpose room. Each of these four rooms boasts approximately 170 sq meters of usable space, and room 3-4 can be converted into a larger space by a dividable wall, bringing the total number of 56 meeting rooms.

"People might find traditional meeting spaces too common and lame, so to get out of the box we simplify the interior design by giving it a minimal look but still exciting enough to give conventioneers a full burst of energy to carry a session all the way through the end. At a glance, the rooms look ultramodern and futuristic as if we were on a spaceship. Walls are covered in black and white, the perfect color combination, to set a powerful, sophisticated, and elegant tone, while the spaceship ceiling design blends flawlessly with the entire atmosphere, projecting a harmony of creative and unconventional means. We pick the red burgundy carpet with outer space pattern to complement our design theme,” Mr. Paul said.

"To ensure that our guests are well taken care of, our VIP room is equipped with a bathroom, in case they like to take a shower after a long walk on a hot day.Free Wi-Fi internet access and audio systems/speakers with built-in amplifier are used across the hall to deliver optimal energy efficiency and functionality."

"These are merely part of our successful development efforts that have been completed, but we still have more projects on our to-do list to be carried out in the years to come, simply because we are challenging ourselves to be the most preferred venue in Asia, offering customers with a modern and technologically advanced facility that provides a diversity of solutions and choices for their success,” Mr. Paul added.
