Cathay Pacific reopens The Pier First Class Lounge

Cathay Pacific Airways today reopened The Pier First Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), following an extensive renovation.

Measuring 2,061 square metres and a maximum seating capacity of 231, the newly opened lounge is located at Gate 63 in the North West concourse of HKIA.

Designed by Studioilse, the London-based design studio led by Ilse Crawford, the lounge concept is of a contemporary apartment, including in the choice of materials, furniture, and lighting; music, and food.

Onyx, limestone, and bronze are used and complemented byplants, as part of the ‘wellbeing’ core focus. Acomplimentary foot massage is introduced for the first time in aCathay Pacific lounge and neck and shoulder massages are available on request.

 

The Pier is fitted with a total of eight day suites, each with a daybed, a reading light, a mirror, and heavy curtains in front of a view over the runway. Fourteen showers are furnished with natural limestone and timber.

The Pier First Class Lounge features the Dining Room with à la carte dining for 100 people at a time, and the Pantry serves grab and go snacks, breakfast in the morning, followed by an all-day menu.
