The Travel Industry Exhibition opens this Thursday

This Thursday, The Travel Industry Exhibition opens its doors at 9am to the industry at the Crystal Palace in Luna Park, Sydney and with over 1500 pre-registered industry professionals, this years exhibition is set to be the biggest and best yet.

Over a massive two days, the trade-only exhibition will connect buyers and suppliers of travel products and services from across the globe, providing the opportunity to do business.

Industry leading experts from AFTA, TripAdvisor, Facebook and DFAT, will engage the audience through a series of educational seminars.

Day one of the seminar program includes Facebook’s Head of Financial Services and Travel, Australia & NZ, Paul McCrory and Prue MacSween, Director of Verve Communications.

Paul McCrory leads a team at Facebook responsible for helping advertisers and agencies maximise their use of Facebook as a core marketing platform.

PR Queen, Prue MacSween is a former journalist and radio and TV presenter who began her own award-winning media and communications MacSween Communications and is now a Director at Verve Communications.

Prue will be facilitating a panel of experts, including Caz Makepeace from YTravelBlog and Amanda Woods who will lead the audience through an open forum on travel blogging.

Other key speakers on Day one include Joanne Tralaggan, AFTA’s Accreditation Marketing & Communications Manager who will update the audience on the AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS), Simon Hillier, Owner of Get There Writing Services who will run a session called ‘Get Googled’ Smart SEO for Travel Businesses and Holly Galbraith, Owner of Go Future Media who will provide a ‘Twitter for Travel Agents’ workshop.

TripAdvisor’s Jessica Quinlan, Senior Sales Executive - ANZSP headlines day two as she shares current industry trends with the audience.

Brek Batley, the Director, Consular Information Section, Consular and Crisis Management Division, DFAT will be leading the first session on Friday morning and Rick Myatt, Director of AFTA Education & Training will speak about AQF qualifications versus ‘fit for purpose’ skill sets.

Concluding day one of the exhibition, complimentary networking drinks will be held exclusively for exhibitors and registered visitors, on Thursday, 16 July from 5pm to 6pm.

Seminars are free to attend with exhibition registration, on a first-come first-served basis.
