Five P&O ships to meet in Sydney Harbour

P&O Cruises has announced that its five Australian ships will come together in Sydney Harbour for the first time on 25 November 2015.

The event will form part of a major festival featuring 20 live music acts across the ships and 10 DJs. More than 9,000 passengers will be able to enjoy the concerts, and the five ships will sail in a ‘V’ formation before entering the harbour single file.

The P&O parade will mark the arrival of the line’s two latest ships, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, which will be officially named once they arrive in Sydney.

Following their early morning arrival, the five ships will take up their positions, with Pacific Jewel located at Athol Bay, Pacific Dawn off Garden Island, Pacific Pearl at Point Piper, Pacific Aria berthed at the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Pacific Eden anchored at Neutral Bay after spending the day at White Bay.

“This will be like no party on earth and is sure to become an iconic moment in Sydney Harbour’s history as well as providing lasting memories for the thousands of guests onboard,” said P&O’s senior vice president, Sture Myrmell.

Sydney has never previously hosted five cruise ships on the same day.
