Chengdu debuts as a top international tourist destination at Milano World Expo 2015

MILAN - At midday on August 6, visitors to the Etihad Airways exhibition hall at the 2015 World Expo in Milan were greeted by a wave of mouthwatering Sichuan cuisine flavors as they passed through the Chinese Corporate and German Pavilions.

As one of 24 top tourist destinations invited by official host airlines Alitalia and Etihad Airways to visit the Expo, and as the only city representing China, Chengdu provided the world's tourists with a bite of Sichuan. Hosted by Chengdu Tourism Administration and themed "the Land of Abundance, the Journey of Fantasy", the display was co-presented by Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to highlight Chengdu as a travel and tourism destination.
