Premier Bali villa booking site Vilondo shares industry analysis findings

BALI, Indonesia - Inspired by a recent New York Times article, “House Hunting in Bali,” that stated that luxury home real estate prices in the country had risen by 15 percent in 2014, Vilondo Villas – a preeminent vacation rental booking site that features more than 600 Bali villas on their website – implemented a similar pricing study in equally competitive home rental industry.

While the data tracked by real estate firm Knight Frank revealed a sizeable surge in luxury home sale prices last year, making Bali the third fastest-growing upscale second-home market in the world behind New York and Aspen, Colo., Vilondo’s analysis of rental home prices revealed a different trend. In their survey of more than 100 of the most frequently booked luxury homes in Bali, the company found that home rental prices only increased three percent from 2013 to 2014, and remained virtually the same the following year – making villa rentals an extremely cost-effective and attractive vacation option.

Located throughout Bali, Vilondo’s vacation rentals are concentrated around the main tourist hubs of Kuta, Canggu, Sanur, Jimbaran, Ubud and Seminyak – with the majority located in the latter, the hippest and most expensive area on the island. Villa sizes range from cozy, budget-friendly one-to-three bedroom villas ideal for honeymooners, families and couples traveling together, to grandiose 16- and 22-bedroom estates suitable for weddings, family reunions and other special events.
