Thai International Travel Fair 2015, held from 13-16 August 2015 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, aims to promote Thailand’s tourism industry and provide the tourists with new tour programs both domestic and outbound as in the following:
To promote the air travel industry, outbound tourism as well as other types of jointly promoted tourism for incentive groups by travel companies, tourist attractions and airlines.
To boost the tourism business during the school holiday in September 2015 - January 2016.
The Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) every year invites the tour organizers, the Thai hotels and resorts, the airlines, and all those who are involved in tourism, to participate in this event for the promised prosperous of the industry.

The 2015 event boasts 743 booths, with exhibitors from all sectors of tourism such as Hotels, Golf and Spa Resorts, International and Domestic Airlines, Foreign tourism promotion organizations, Tourist products and Camping equipment, Cruises and Car rental companies.

Thai International Travel Fair 2015 was visited by approximately 350,000 visitors, including tourism business and tour operations. 

The stand of Bhutan.

The Tourism Council of Bhutan, Druk Air, and Bhutan Airlines have joined forces with the government to further promote tourism to Bhutan with a series of special packages, promotions, and festivals throughout 2015, among them the participation in Thai International Travel Fair.

Malaysia is a beloved destination for Thai travelers, as it is the first outbound destination. Malaysia is receiving around 2 million Thai tourists each year. In 2015, the country received 27.4 million people. This year, at the Malaysian booth there was, among others, a big promotion of the Legoland, a favor attraction to the kids.

Aside from Europe and China, Japan is expected to remain the most popular destination for Thai tourists this year, as it is endorsing a visa exemption for Thais.

Innovative presentation of a destination in the stand of HIS.

A new and innovative way to virtually wander around a destination presented by HIS during Thai International Travel Fair 2015 using Oculus technology, a next generation virtual reality. With the help of a headset, the potential tourists can ‘feel’ the destination watching a 360 high definition tour. 

The stand of Chaophraya cruise, a luxury 5 star cruise company.

The luxury cruise company, Chaophraya cruise, is offering cruises in Chaophraya river with traditional Thai entertainment. During the exhibition they offered packages with better prices in an attempt to boost sales.

The stand of Turkey.

The Turkish Tour Operator Edelweiss Tours was promoting not only Turkey as a tourism destination, but also the neighboring countries such as Egypt, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia, and Georgia.

Macau promoted its tourism attractions to the Thais including gambling and fantastic entertainment programs. Thai arrivals in Macau seem to drop this year comparing with 2014. From January to June in 2014, 94,250 Thais visited Macau, but in the same period of 2015 the number dropped to 84,276 recording a decline of 10.6%.

Innovative promotion of Air Asia.

Air Asia slashed fares at Thai International Travel Fair offering domestic flights at around 1,000 Baht. International flights also were in bargain for travel period from 16 of August to 31 of January next year.

Many travel agents, among them NS Travel & Tours offered discount holiday packages to the visitors. Most of them cut their package prices and fares by around 5% to 10% during this fair.

The well-known Thai hotel chain, Centara Hotels & Resorts presented to the Thais its hotels giving them information and better prices for holidays packages. The Centara Grand hotels and resorts are in the five-star category, with landmark properties in prime resort and beachfront locations, and key city areas. Centara Hotels & Resorts has six hotel brands.

 

The stand of Krabi.

Krabi, a coastal province, abounds with countless natural attractions that never fail to impress tourists. The white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, fascinating coral reefs, caves and waterfalls, as well as numerous islands are among the favor places for foreigners and Thais.
