World Spa convention in Bangkok

BANGKOK  World Spa & Wellbeing Convention 2015 is on schedule to open 24 September with organisers saying the 17 August Erawan Shrine bombing has not impacted on registrations.
Around 15,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the three-day event, 24 to 26 September, at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok.
The 4th edition of World Spa & Wellbeing Convention (WSWC2015) organised by the Thai Spa Association (TSPA) will be hosted side-by-side with the second edition of Beyond Beauty ASEAN-Bangkok.
Thai Spa Association estimates the country’s spa industry will close this year with a 15% growth. Destination spas will expand business by 10%, day spas 20% and hotel spas 10%.

inside no 5The value of the international spa tourism business in Thailand should reach THB31,155.48 million, a 12% growth in terms of export value and THB2,240 million for spa services and management.
The twin events at WSWC focus on spas and beauty treatments under one roof at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre. They bring together spa, wellness and related industry professionals from around the world.
WSWC 2015 breaks down into a three distinct elements, consisting of a three-day trade exhibition, two-day educational congress and an awards night.
Special exhibition highlights include an Education Hub, Spa Concierge, Hot Spring Showcase, Spa Industry Study with research partner Stenden Rangsit University, Global Wellness Tourism Workshop (GWTW2015), Thailand Hot Spring Forum (THSF2015) Business Matching and other support activities.
WSWC 2015 serves a region that is home to approximately a third of the world’s spas, and as the ASEAN Economic Community becomes a reality at the end of this year, WSWC 2015 will help Thailand secure its lead in the Asia’s spa market space.
The event will be held 24 to 26 September at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
inside no 5.1To restore travel confidence for event visitors, in the wake of the 17 August bomb attack, Thailand Conventions and Exhibitions Bureau issued a series of situational reports targeting exhibition visitors, September and October.
The updates emphasise that the government has intensified security measures to ensure the safety of all travellers.
Some of the measures include:
Enhanced security at all airports;
Enhanced security of all key locations in Bangkok;

Dedicated service point at all information counters in all hospitals;
inside no 5.2A 24-hour hotline for travellers to contact all related government agencies such as Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, Tourism Authority of Thailand, police, emergency medical services;
Coordination between all hotels on guest information;
A meet-and-assist service counter at the airport run by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
TCEB reports that all exhibitions and conferences in Thailand are still taking place as scheduled.
