UBUD The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah has wrapped up renovations on its Hadiprana Villa named after the resort’s founder Hendra Hadiprana who opened the 20-villa resort in the 1980s.
The centrepiece villa covers 570-square-metres retreat with a spacious deck and bale that surrounds a 60-square-metre swimming pool.
inside no 7The two-bedroom abode features private en-suites, with the master bath that has a secluded, sunken outdoor Jacuzzi.
“It’s a sanctuary within a sanctuary,” said the hotel’s general manager, Alain Bachmann.
One of Indonesia’s foremost architects and art patrons, Hadiprana built the property as a family estate in the early 1980s before the luxury hotel group GHM assumed stewardship in 2004.
Cost per night: IDR 11,500,000, or on average USD1,300 a night; price variations low and peak seasons.
