Crown wins ‘Employer of the Year’ at WA Training Awards

Crown Perth is proud to be the recipient of the ‘WA Employer of the Year’ Award, which was announced last Friday, 4 September at the WA Training Awards presentation dinner.

The WA Training Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of apprentices, trainees and vocational students, and the contribution to training made by trainers, training organisations and employers.

Celebrating their 21st year in 2015, these esteemed awards continue to put our State's top achievers in the spotlight, with 13 categories in total including seven individual categories and six organisation categories.

Crown’s Group Manager of Learning and Development, Shane Thomas said that it was a great honour for Crown to be recognised at this prestigious annual awards ceremony.

“Crown Perth is exceptionally proud to be the recipient of the ‘WA Employer of the Year’ Award and this important industry accolade is a reflection of the high level of training provided by our dedicated trainers and teams. I’d like to thank and congratulate all staff involved in achieving this fantastic result,” said Mr Thomas.

The selection criteria for the award had a key focus on the extent and quality of training for employees, training achievements of the business, innovation in training and commitment to equity in training.

As an award winner, Crown will be entered into the Australian Training Awards, with winners of the national awards being announced on 19 November in Hobart.

The Australian Training Awards are the peak, national awards for vocational education and training, recognising innovation and excellence in the training sector.
