SINGAPORE - The Philippines' largest airline, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) will launch non-stop, twice weekly flights between Singapore and Davao, starting 17 December 2015.

Davao, the gateway to Southern Philippines and one of the safest cities in the world, is a bustling commercial hub and premier eco-adventure destination. Aside from Davao, CEB offers direct flights to Manila, Cebu, Clark and Iloilo.

To promote the new route, Singapore-Davao SGD125 seats are up for grabs from 16-18 September 2015 or until seats last. Travel period is from 17 December 2015 to 31 January 2016.

Utilizing CEB’s young fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, the new service will depart Singapore every Thursday and Sunday at 9:55pm, arriving in Davao at 1:40am the next day. The return flight will depart Davao every Thursday and Sunday at 5:35pm and arrive in Singapore at 9:10pm.

“We look forward to offering adventurous Singaporeans a new Philippine destination to explore. Davao makes it easy to go from islands to highlands, letting holiday-makers enjoy the best of both worlds,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Davao’s lush natural landscape makes it the perfect place to get an adrenaline-pumping river rafting experience down Davao River or try SkyCycling at Eden Nature Park. On the same trip, visitors can explore the beautiful beaches of Samal Island, which is only a 15-minute boat ride away from the bustling city.

“Last year, the Davao region also reported the fastest economic growth in the Philippines. With this fast-paced development expected to continue in the coming years, Cebu Pacific’s non-stop flights and trademark low fares between Davao and Singapore will increase accessibility, and facilitate business and tourism growth opportunities,” Iyog added.

CEB currently flies from Singapore to Manila up to 25 times weekly. It also operates up to 7 weekly flights to both Cebu and Clark, as well as up to 3 weekly flights to Iloilo. CEB offers flights to 63 cities in 17 countries in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

CEB's 55-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 31 Airbus A320, 6 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2015 and 2021, CEB will take delivery of 7 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo, and 16 ATR 72-600 aircraft.
