BANGKOK Centara Hotels & Resorts have been recognised as “Best Resort of the Year 2015” at the Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards (MTAA), which was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards (MTAA) was first introduced in 2014.

Jenny Nguyen, sales & marketing manager of Centara Hotels & Resorts – Ho Chi Minh, receives the award with Amorn Kitchaweng, deputy Bangkok governor who was the guest honour at the awards ceremony.
This year, the MTAA Awards presentations were held in conjunction with the official opening ceremony and gala dinner of the International Travel Expo (ITE) HCMC, attended by tourism ministers from Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.
The awards celebrate the brightest tourism Stars in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam that help to instil a greater sense of pride and achievement for professionals and organisations.
ITE HCMC 2015 is the only national tourism event endorsed by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in the Kingdom of Thailand; the Ministry of Tourism in Cambodia; Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism in Lao PDR; and the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism in Myanmar.
