KHANH HOA  Vietnam’s government will ban all tourism activities on Binh Ba Island in the central province of Khanh Hoa, citing security reasons.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung told local media that the ban will take effect 6 November.
“The island, along with Chut Isle and Hoi Cape, in Cam Ranh Bay, should be kept tourism-free to ensure security for the Cam Ranh military base.”
People and vehicles travelling to and from this area must be strictly controlled to ensure security and safety.

With sea and island tours becoming trendy in Vietnam, Binh Ba, also known as the “island of lobsters,” has attracted many holidaymakers in recent years.inside no 3
Tourists travel to Cam Ranh City and board passenger ferries to get to Binh Ba, where they explore the island’s clean beaches and stay overnight at the local houses offering homestay service.
There are no tourism facilities on Chut Isle and Hoi Cape, so Binh Ba will be the only island to suffer from the government’s decision.
The province, on Vietnam’s south central coast, enjoys the second largest economy of the central region after Danang.
Noted for its attractive beaches and natural landscape the province is famous for its deep water bays; the most noteworthy, Cam Ranh, is also close to Cam Ranh International Airport one of the busiest in the country.
Russia has always been the top market for the province’s tourism industry followed by South Korea, Australia, China and Belgium. China has now taken the lead.
