All night entertainment a must

HO CHI MINH CITY Tourism authorities are calling for strict zoning of the night entertainment sector in Ho Chi Minh City to attract more visitors especially Western tourists.

The city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism deputy director, La Quoc Khanh, told local media that the city proposed specific zones for night entertainment that could open for 24 hours to attract tourists.
“For years, recreational activities ended at midnight and those seeking entertainment throughout the night are disappointed. We need sophisticated entertainment that fits an urban environment.”
inside no 2Vietnam National Administration of Tourism deputy head, Ha Van Sieu, noted that the lack of nightlight entertainment is a major reason for the decline in tourists. The creation of tourism entertainment should be a priority.
Streets such as Ta Hien, Nha Tho or Xuan Dieu (Hanoi) and Bui Vien (HCMC) are home to hundreds of bars, cafes and restaurants for foreigners. Hanoi and HCM City also have night markets. However, they close too early and there should be more sophisticated night clubs, music, cabarets and late night restaurants.
In the first nine months of this year, the city welcomed 3.2 million international tourists increasing 5% year-on-year.
Last year, the city attracted 22 million tourists, including 4.4 million foreigners.
