ORLANDO, Fla. - Tourico Holidays, a global leader in wholesale travel brokerage, announced that it has doubled its inventory of “ExclusiveDeals”, or pre-purchased hotel room blocks, in the Asia-Pacific market since this time last year – bringing its total number of ExclusiveDeals in the region to 18. Tourico has also increased its local personnel in APAC during a time when the company is strategically ramping up efforts to sign new hotel suppliers in the market.

“Doubling the number of pre-purchased hotel room blocks in Asia and continuing to increase our sales and service presence there illustrates that Tourico is fully committed to growing in this market,” said Steve Skidgel, Executive Vice President of Global Product Development for Tourico Holidays. “ExclusiveDeals are the backbone of our growth strategy, but it’s also critical for us to have the personnel and support on the ground to ensure our partners are able to grow alongside us.”

Tourico has ExclusiveDeals located in the top cities across Asia-Pacific, including in Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Tokyo and Seoul. The pre-buying model provides added benefits to both supplier partners and distribution clients. Hotel partners enjoy flexible terms and rates structure, guaranteed monthly income, incremental business, and complimentary marketing from Tourico. Travel agents and suppliers gain access to heavily discounted rates, no blackout dates, last-minute availability and more inventory.

Tourico has also just added six more sales and partner services employees dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market. The company opened a new office in Shanghai earlier in the summer, which will serve as a technology hub for Tourico’s operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The new employees come as no surprise as Tourico previously stated that it plans to double its staff to 70 in China by the end of next year.

“Hoteliers and travel suppliers across Asia can greatly benefit from Tourico’s global distribution footprint – which includes nearly 5,000 clients in 100 different countries,” said Skidgel. “We look forward to connecting with new travel partners at ITB Asia this week and showcasing how Tourico can help businesses improve their bottom lines.”

Tourico Holidays will be exhibiting its robust product lines – including cruise, hotels, activities and transfers, car rentals, and vacation homes - at ITB Asia from October 21 to the 23rd.
