Chiva-Som unveils newly renovated guest rooms

HONG KONG - Chiva-Som, the world’s leading wellness destination, marked its 20th anniversary earlier this year and is now proud to unveil its newly designed luxury accommodation. The new Ocean Rooms are designed by American architect Ed Tuttle, best known for his ingenious work for exclusive properties in Thailand, Indonesia, France and the United States. Wooden floors and natural materials have been selected throughout to respect the brand personality and enhance the ambiance of oneness with nature. This is a key element within the Chiva-Som philosophy of holistic wellbeing that will enhance the ‘home-away from-home’ comfort, with an understated elegant blend of traditional and modern, providing the ideal environment to complement the restorative programmes available.

The luxurious and contemporary Thai elements are subtly incorporated and feature a light color palette of gold and ivory; rich fabrics and natural trimmings provide accents in muted forest green and wood tones. Abstract artwork in gold across one wall casts a warm glow whilst the latest technology in lighting provides five settings, a mood for all times of the day and states of mind. These features complement Chiva-Som’s existing 54 accommodations, which comprise of 17 Thai pavilions, 37 Ocean rooms and suites. They are immediately available for bookings.

The new Ocean Rooms have a spectacular view over the Gulf of Thailand, lighter, brighter and larger. They now include a separate spacious dressing room; two individual facing washbasins in contemporary white Corian make ingenious use of space whilst a bathtub with wet room style shower and separate toilet offer privacy and seclusion. Full floor to ceiling windows in each room ensure plenty of light and give over spacious outside terraces and balconies with a generous seating area.
