Thailand’s events business confident

BANGKOK Thailand will host 154 business events from now until the end of the year, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau reported Thursday.

The events cover large-scale corporate events, incentives, conventions, exhibitions and mega events.

In the incentive segment, Pro-Health 2016 will be hosted in Phuket 28 August to 11 September with 5,500 participants.

In November and December, In Cosmetic Asia 2016 and Cosmex 2016 will take place 8 to 10 November followed by the 10th International Petroleum Technology Conference 14 to 16 November. Both events are in Bangkok.

Other signature events are the Grand Metalex 2016 and Motor Expo 2016 are scheduled to take place concurrently in December, while Thailand is the host country for the 29th Congress of International Society of Sugar Cane Technologist, 5 to 8 December.

TCEB issued a statement earlier this week to reassure all business travellers that safety was the highest priority. TCEB encouraged business travellers to “obtain information from various sources to get a balanced understanding about the reality on the ground in Thailand, so that they can plan their business trips accordingly.”
