Mövenpick readies for Bali opening

BALI Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of I Wayan Suwastana to lead the pre-opening sales and marketing department of Mövenpick Resort and Spa Jimbaran Bali.

The hotel is scheduled to open this November.

The Swiss hotel management company’s has accelerated expansion in the region with more than 20 new properties planned for Southeast Asia by 2020.

Suwastana began his career as a sales executive in 1977 and quickly worked his way through the ranks to take on director of sales and marketing roles in five-star hotels across his native Indonesia.

He has gained close to 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality sector.

“Mövenpick Resort and Spa Jimbaran Bali, is a much anticipated addition to the Bali hospitality landscape and I look forward to bringing my experience to the challenges ahead,” said Suwastana.
