BANGKOK Thai Airways International launches its newest destination, Tehran, the capital of Iran, at a VIP launch 1 October.
The airline will offer a nonstop four-weekly service between Bangkok and Tehran.
Airline president and CEO, Charamporn Jotikasthira, said the service to Tehran would introduce a city with abundance of culture and traditions often called the Pride of Persia.
In Iran there are 20 tourist sites registered as World Heritage Sites.
The airline is also introducing tours of Tehran though its in-house tour programme, Royal Orchid Holidays.
Iran has varied seasons; spring from the end of March to end of June, autumn from the end of September and winter in January, when there is snow and these seasonal differences are reflected in the ROH tour selection.
THAI will operate roundtrip flights from Bangkok-Tehran four days per week, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
