Bali park honoured

JAKARTA Plataran L’Harmonie in the West Bali National Park, won recent recognition as one of the Top 100 World Green Destinations from the Green Destination Organisation.

Plataran L’Harmonie covers a forest area of the West Bali National Park, of approximately 382 hectares with a coastline of more than 7 km facing Menjangan Island.

Over the last 18 years, the area has been developed as an ecotourism destination in Bali.

L’Harmonie West Bali National Park is a national ecotourism pilot project, supervised by the Ministry of Tourism.

This recognition marks another award for the park’s management Plataran, joining a list of other accolades including an award as the Best National Park Operator by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2015.

Plataran has built tourism-related facilities such as an Ocean Club & Restaurant branded Octagon and a beach resort branded Plataran Menjangan, as well as other supporting services such as private cruises.

Plataran L’Harmonie was presented with an award as one of the 100 World Green Destinations, on World Tourism Day, 27 September, in the presence of 350 guests attending the Global Green Destinations Gala, including representatives of UMWTO.
