BANGKOK Construction of a major new hotel project under the Best Western Hotels & Resort’ brand got underway this month at a site  close to the popular Thai beach resort of Pattaya.

Thai real estate company, Habitat Group Co Ltd is working with Best Western Hotels & Resorts to create the new Best Western Premier Bayphere Pattaya – an eight-story upscale hotel on Na Jomtien bay, just 7 km south of downtown Pattaya.

“We are delighted to celebrate this landmark occasion with our esteemed partners from Habitat Group,” said Best Western’s managing director of international operations – Asia, Olivier Berrivin.

The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by (pictured, from left): Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations – Asia; Chanin Vanijwongse, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat Group Co., Ltd; Sasivimol Sutthibut, Chief Operating Officer of Habitat Group Co., Ltd; and Frank Khan, Executive Director and Head of Residential for Knight Frank Chartered (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

“Best Western Premier Bayphere Pattaya is an exceptional project that will fulfil the growing needs for a high-quality, international-standard accommodation on Thailand’s Eastern Seaboard – one of Asia’s most up-and-coming resort destinations.”

Once completed in the fourth quarter of 2018, Best Western Premier Bayphere Pattaya will feature 174 rooms. Other facilities will include an open-air lobby, infinity-edged swimming pool, Jacuzzis and sunset cabanas, a rooftop garden, well-equipped fitness centre, and a playground for children.

The hotel is located on  Jomtien bay the next beach south of Pattaya and a popular location for residential condominiums.
