Mercure brand expands in Bangkok

BANGKOK AccorHotels is promoting its latest addition, Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, formerly the President Palace that closed in December 2015 for renovations.

Opened earlier this year, under the AccorHotels’ Mercure brand the group is currently offering a special “opening rate” of THB3,200 plus service and tax.

Located, close to BTS Skytrain Nana Station and the MRT Subway Asoke Station, the remake of the 232-room hotel delivers a Thai-style décor and furnishings.

AccorHotels, upper Southeast and Northeast Asia Chief Operating Officer,Patrick Basset said “the opening of Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 strengthens our growth network in Thailand and Bangkok, where we currently operate 73 and 29 properties respectively.”

Of the 16 properties AccorHotels plans to open in Thailand over the next three years, eight are in Bangkok.

Mercure offers 34 sqm deluxe rooms with widescreen TV, coffee/tea making facilities and mini bar while the 43 sqm privilege rooms features an espresso machine, a Bluetooth smart TV. Suites on the upper floors offer a separate living room that can accommodate families on long and short-term stays.

Guests staying in privilege rooms and suites also have access to the Privilege Club on the 16th floor that serves complimentary snacks and beverages daily.

To mark the opening Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 is promoting a deluxe room stay at THB 3,200 before tax and service.

Agoda.com sells the same room  for THB2, 480 also excluding tax and service. (THB2,918 with tax and service).  Payment is made directly with the hotel on arrival.
