BANGKOK – Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is honored to have two resorts listed in Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s Gold List 2018. Six Senses Douro Valley and Six Senses Zil Pasyon joined the prestigious Gold List featuring the editors’ favorite hotels in the world spanning six continents and 54 countries, proclaiming that they’re the hotels they return to time and time again, and daydream about long after they are home.

As a bestselling and highly respected travel publication, Condé Nast Traveler magazine published in New York is recognized as a benchmark of how stories should be told in print, in a world where social media posts last for the blink of an eye. They have announced the release of a collection of eight themed volumes that will tell readers about why we travel and also reveal the 2018 Gold List. The properties  are currently featured on CNTraveler.com.

Nicholas Yarnell, general manager of Six Senses Douro Valley said, “This is simply amazing! Being able to keep ourselves top of mind amongst prominent hotels in established destinations shows that Six Senses is a trusted choice. This award follows the nomination for the Condé Nast Traveler Hot List 2016, which recognizes the world’s top 60 hotels and resorts opened during the past 12 months and the Condé Nast Traveler’s 2017 Gold List inclusion. We feel truly honored, and having our sister hotel Six Senses Zil Pasyon among the recipients makes us even prouder.”

Six Senses Zil Pasyon was previously listed on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2017 Hot List for Best New Hotel; the resort opened in October 2016. Hilton Hastings, general manager of Six Senses Zil Pasyon said, “To be recognized by Condé Nast Traveler twice in just over one year of operation is a wonderful complement for our resort and to our brand. We look forward to engaging our guests in emotional hospitality and out-of-the-ordinary experiences which lie at the core of our brand, and we continue to be excited by the positive accolades we receive from both the hospitality industry and our guests. As Six Senses continues to grow, we are proud to represent the brand and receive positive recognition for the group. Thank you.”

Six Senses Douro Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage setting fronts onto the River Douro as it winds through the world’s oldest demarcated wine region. The estate covers 19 acres (7.69 hectares) with 57 guestrooms, suites and villas. The restaurant highlights regional produce and offers a new approach to food, Eat with Six Senses, another pillar of the Six Senses Integrated Wellness philosophy and an approach to food and drink that leaves guests feeling better than when they arrived.  Six Senses Spa Douro Valley comprises 10 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and a gym. It presents specialty and local therapies and multi-day programs. An outdoor yoga deck is ideal for individuals and groups. The sun-kissed valley is at the heart of the region that offers activities and excursions by foot, vehicle or water.
