EVA Air will start services between Taipei and Toronto at the beginning of the coming summer schedule, 29 March. It already flies to Vancouver.

The airline will serve the route three times a week using Boeing 777-300ERs.

BR36 will depart Taipei at 1845 on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, and arrive in Toronto 2055 on the same day. The return flight, BR35 will leave Toronto at 2340 and arrive in Taipei at 0545 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Asia-bound flights will make a technical stop for fuel in Anchorage, Alaska.

The outbound service is convenient for Bangkok residents heading for Canada. They will need to travel to Taipei on flight BT0212 departing Bangkok at 1235. It arrives in Taipei at 1700, giving passengers one hour and 45 minutes to connect. On the return leg, the connection is not so convenient. BR0211 departs for Bangkok at 0820, while the flight from Canada arrives in Taipei at 0545.
