Sri Lanka and China will cooperate vigorously in the tourism industry

SRI LANKA - Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs G. L. Pieris followed a delegation of the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa to China and hosted a media press conference.

The Minister stated that Sri Lanka and China had decided to promote bilateral relations as a strategic cooperative partnership and cooperate vigorously in the tourism industry. 20 thousand Chinese tourists visited Sri Lanka in 2012. Through both efforts the number could be raised to
100 thousand in 2015.
