Uluru is better connected thanks to new flights with Jetstar
Uluru (Ayers Rock) is now more accessible thanks to the launch of a new route from Sydney to Yulara with Jetstar. Jetstar launched a four times weekly flight between Sydney and Uluru on the 4th June adding an extra 1,400 seats to Australia’s Red Centre each week. The flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Fleur Burrows, Regional Manager for Tourism Northern Territory says:  “The arrival of Jetstar offers travellers the opportunity to fly between Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Rock – two of Australia’s greatest icons - in just three and a half hours. We hope that by making this cost-effective option available to travellers it will encourage them to incorporate Uluru into their itineraries.”

H Hotel launches in Darwin
The new H Hotel has just launched in Darwin bringing an additional 186 rooms to the Northern Territory’s capital. The 4.5-star hotel is well located both for the city’s top attractions such as Crocosaurus Cove as well as its nightlife. It is also within easy reach of Darwin’s Convention Centre making it a great base for the business traveller. Darwin’s newest hotel offers standard deluxe and suite style rooms, many boasting views of the city or the stunning Cullen Bay. Take a Camel to Dinner
Ride on camel back through the stunning red dunes to the iconic Sounds of Silence dinner for one hour with the breathtaking backdrop of Uluru and Kata Tjuta before enjoying canapes and chilled champagne at sunset. Under a canopy of stars a delicious three-course buffet follows. During dinner guests will be enlightened on the stars so visible and clear in the untouched outback skies by their dedicated story teller.

Canoeing commences at Nitmiluk Gorge
Canoeing enthusiasts can now get their oar stuck in at the Katherine Gorge in Australia’s Top End as it re-opens for the season. Soak up the beauty of the Nitmiluk Gorge from the serenity of a canoe. While paddling down the river, admire the rocky escarpments, look out for wildlife and don’t forget to stop and cool off at one of the sandy beaches.
