London's Maybourne Hotel Group strengthens its commitment to the China market with latest initiatives

LONDON - London’s prestigious Maybourne Hotel Group which owns and operates three of the city’s leading luxury hotels – Claridge’s, the Connaught and the Berkeley – has announced a series of initiatives which underline the company’s ongoing commitment to building its brand within China’s fast growing luxury travel sector.
Union Pay
Maybourne’s three properties have become the latest London hotels to sign an agreement with China’s major domestic bankcard Union Pay to facilitate easier credit payment transactions from a growing number of guests from mainland China.
Asian designers
Maybourne has also announced its collaboration with two leading Asian designers in its latest projects at the Berkeley in Knightsbridge. Leading Hong Kong-based interior architect Andre Fu has created a ground breaking  ‘super suite ’on the fourth floor of the hotel opening in July 2013.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong-born, London-based interior architect Spencer Fung is behind the soon to re-launch rooftop Berkeley Health Club and Spa complete with new Bamford Haybarn Spa. Spencer Fung has established a name for himself with his firm’s distinctive designs for luxury clients such as Daylesford and Bamford.  
Chinese Websites Launched
With its goal to continue to grow brand awareness in the China market, Maybourne Hotel Group has recently appointed Jasmine Wang as Regional Director of Sales - Greater China. Based in Hong Kong, she will oversee business development and sales in the region. To further reinforce its commitment to the market. This month Maybourne has also launched its first Chinese language hotel-specific websites with toll-free Chinese phone number.
