Cambodia, Japan Agree to Exempt Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports

The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of Japan have agreed to exempt visas for a period of 30 days to the holders of Diplomatic and Service/Official passports of Cambodia and Japan, according to an announcement of the
Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation released today.

This visa exemption will be announced during the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit to be held on Dec. 13-15 in Tokyo, Japan, it pointed out.

Both sides also agreed on the issuance of long-term and multiple-entry visas for a period from 1 to 3 years to holders of ordinary passports, said the announcement, adding that the issuance of the said visas will be implemented on Dec. 11, 2013.

The visa exemption and the long-term and multiple-entry visa issuance are aimed to facilitate and promote people to people exchange between Cambodia and Japan, underlined the announcement.
