Thai AirAsia has introduced fares for its upcoming Bangkok-Nay Pyi Taw service, due to start this October. The service is listed in the schedule through to August next year. The promotional fare, inclusive of airport taxes and fuel surcharges, starts at Bt1,290. Passengers can make bookings using the fare until 8 September for travel 28 October to 5 August next year. The airline will operate direct flights from Bangkok to Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar’s political capital, using a 180-seat Airbus A320. Thai AirAsia CEO, Tassapon Bijleveld, said business in Myanmar is growing and is a the main focus of investment interest in ASEAN. Thailand is a major trading partner with the country and its companies and investors need a daily service to the capital, Nay Pyi Taw, to meet with government leaders. The flight time out of Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport is one hour.
