Amadeus and AirAsia Zest, a Philippine-based low-cost airline are offering travel agencies in Asia Pacific a capability to book multi-destination itineraries.
AirAsia Zest serves domestic destinations of Kalibo (Boracay), Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Cebu, Davao, Tagbilaran, and Cagayan de Oro in the Philippines and international points in Asia including China and South Korea, through the AirAsia network.
AirAsia Zest is the latest AirAsia group airline to use Amadeus to offer travel agents a booking mechanism for their clients. The airline will be available on Amadeus and easily accessible to travel agents in their traditional booking flow.
Travel agents in Asia Pacific can offer travellers a multi-destination journey using a combination of AirAsia airlines, all in the same booking and passenger name record (PNR).
All AirAsia airlines are available on the Amadeus booking platform giving travel agents access to the largest network of low-cost flights across the Asia-Pacific.
AirAsia Zest, Mikee Romero said, “We are delighted to work with an industry leader like Amadeus as we strive to become the leading airline organisation in the Philippines. Amadeus’ extensive network of travel agencies will help us reach more travellers, both business and leisure, which is critical for us to take our business to the next level.”
Amadeus Asia Pacific president, Angel Gallego, added: “This development marks a major step forward for Amadeus as we continue to strengthen our LCC portfolio to help our travel agency customers cater to the growing pool of budget-conscious travellers.”
ZestAir was recently rebranded as AirAsia Zest to reflect its partnership with AirAsia.
It operates a fleet of 13 aircraft and currently serves nine domestic and four international routes from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
