Tigerair’s new Sydney and Perth services commenced yesterday, operating up to six times per week and providing 2,160 additional seats.
Tigerair's sixth new route in 2013 will see domestic tourism on the east and west coast significantly increase with the addition of 112,000 seats annually through Perth and Sydney airports.
“The commencement of our new Sydney-Perth service re-enforces Tigerair’s commitment to respond to consumer demand and initial demand for the route has been positive, with our customers in NSW and WA offered more choice when travelling between the east and west coasts of Australia,” Tigerair Australia chief executive officer Rob Sharp said.
Tigerair has also announced it will commence new daily Sydney-Adelaide services, as well as additional flights from Sydney to Melbourne and its new Brisbane base early in 2014.
