The airline will add flights on its most popular routes; Bangkok (Don Mueang)-Yangon to 28 flights weekly starting 24 January and Bangkok (Don Mueang)-Siem Reap to 14 flights weekly starting 27 January.
Thai AirAsia CEO, Tassapon Bijleveld, said the Mekong Region is important for the airline, which has enjoyed sustained high passenger growth.
Currently, AirAsia flies to six destinations in the region– Yangon, Mandalay, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
