Low-cost airline, VietJetAir, will operate daily flights between Hanoi and Phu Quoc effective 28 May.
The island destination located off the coast of South Vietnam, very close to the Cambodian border, has granted visa-free entry for some nationalities to boots tourism.
The upcoming flight, VJ8811, will depart Hanoi at 1310 and arrive at Phu Quoc 1540. The return flight, VJ8812, will depart at 1610 from Phu Quoc and arrive at Hanoi 1840.
VietJetAir also plans to provide additional flights on the Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route during the coming summer to meet the increasing demand of tourists.
There will be 14 flights daily on the HCMC – Hanoi route, seven flights daily to Danang, three flights daily to Nha Trang, three flights daily to Phu Quoc, four flights daily to Haiphong, and three flights daily to Hue.
Out of Hanoi there will be four flights daily to Danang and three flights daily to Nha Trang,
VietJetAir started operations in 2011 as the first private airline in Vietnam to operate both domestic and international flights. Its first international service was to Bangkok and it will add a service to Singapore out of Ho Chi Minh City 23 May.
