Air Astana has launched a new route connecting the capital cities of Kazakhstan and South Korea.

On Tuesday 2 June 2015, the Kazakh national carrier commenced services from Astana to Seoul‘s Incheon International Airport. Flights will now run once a week using a 223-seat Boeing 767 aircraft with business and economy class seating. The new route will complement Air Astana’s existing service from Almaty to Seoul.

And Air Astana has also launched services to Georgia’s capital Tbilisi. This route will run twice a week direct from Astana using a 97-seat, two-class Embraer E190 aircraft.

“The new services from Astana to Seoul and Tbilisi mark another significant step in building the network of international flights from Kazakhstan’s capital,” said Peter Foster, president of Air Astana. “I’m confident that the new services will be prove to be popular with business… executives and tourists.”

The new routes boost Air Astana’s network to 64 routes connecting 39 international and domestic destinations.
