Vistara has formed a new partnership that will lead to its pilots and cabin crew being trained in India.

Until now, the Delhi-based airline had sent its flight crews to Singapore to be trained, using the facilities of its parent company Singapore Airlines.

But under a new partnership with Gurgaon-based Flywings Simulation Technique Centre (FWSTC), both pilots and flight attendants will undergo their training in India, including ‘Safety and Emergency Procedures’.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with FWSTC and provide an opportunity to our personnel for undertaking their sophisticated training programmes,” said Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO of Vistara.Vistara and FWSTC celebrate the partnership

“Vistara places great impetus on these specialised areas of safety and emergency management. I am positive that our employees will immensely benefit from FWSTC’s practical, in-depth and specialised aviation training solutions to be able to efficiently deliver service excellence.”

FWSTC’s director, Captain Sanjay Mandavia, said his company’s facility will help “reduce the overheads of airlines towards travelling, visa and hotel costs, and to ensure immediate availability of cabin crew for operation”.

“Being the first such training centre in northern India… FWSTC provides quality training architecture with modern training devices, experienced faculty and state of art infrastructure to meet global standards of excellence,” he added.

FWSTC offers the emergency exit, cabin evacuation, smoke and live fire and water survival training.
This follows a recent collaboration between Vistara and FSTC for simulator and ground training.
