PATTAYA Thai AirAsia will launch services connecting U-Tapao to Chiang Mai, 27 November and to Hat Yai in the south, 3 December, in an effort to extend its business from a fifth hub.
The U-Tapao-Chiang Mai route will operate 10 times weekly (two flights daily except for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).
With the additional route, Thai AirAsia will launch four new flights, 27 November, from U-Tapao to Chiang Mai, Singapore, Macau and Udon Thani.
inside no 5Scheduled to launch 3 December, the U-Tapao-Hat Yai route will have four weekly flights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
All together, the AirAsia group will operate eight routes from U-Tapao Airport. They are: Nanning; Nanchang; Kuala Lumpur; Macau; Singapore; Udon Thani; Chiang Mai and Hat Yai.
Thai AirAsia CEO, Tassapon Bijleveld, said the new additions will offer more domestic travel options as both Chiang Mai and Hat Yai are popular destinations for Thai and foreign travellers.
“With Pattaya already offering varied attractions, the added routes are sure to stimulate travel.”
inside-no-5.1The airline sets a promotional one-way fare to Chiang Mai and Hat Yai starting at THB590. Fares include airport taxes and fees.
Booking must be made by 15 November. Travel periods remain open until 29 October next year for these fares.
