Tigerair Australia celebrates flying 24m. passengers with network wide sale spread over three days

Tigerair Australia welcomed its 24 millionth passenger onboard and to celebrate, the airline has launched a special three day sale featuring thousands of one way fares which will be released every 24 hours over the next three days.

The ‘24 Millionth Passenger Sale’ sale started, with the first eight domestic routes on sale for 24 hours (or until seats sell out). The remainder of the Tigerair network will go on sale between midday AEST Thursday 15 June and midday AEST Friday 16 June. Customers are encouraged to check the website daily for more special airfare deals.

More than 8,000 seats are available as part of this sale, for travel period extending from early February to late March 2018.

The lucky 24 millionth passenger, Freya Appleford, a Sydney based university student originally from Hampton in Victoria, was surprised by Tigerair’s Head of Communications Vanessa Regan upon arrival at Melbourne Airport’s Terminal 4 earlier today and presented with a $500 travel voucher.

“This is an amazing surprise. I regularly fly with Tigerair as I’ve just started studying in Sydney and find they’re a really great and affordable option when I’m looking to head home and visit family and friends,” Ms Appleford said.

Tigerair Head of Communications Vanessa Regan says the airline is proud to make air travel more accessible and affordable for many millions of customers since Tigerair first commenced operations in November 2007.

“Over 24 million customers is almost the population of Australia. Today’s passenger milestone is a great testament to the support we’ve had from Australian consumers and to celebrate we are pleased to be able to share the love with a number of bargain airfares on offer across our entire network over the next three days, starting from just $24.”
