SINGAPORE Vietjet’s flight VJ926 from Hai Phong, Vietnam to Seoul, South Korea, earlier this week, was diverted to Hanoi due to a passenger needing urgent medical attention.
The crew on board were alerted to the situation and carried out first aid, but the decision was made by the captain to divert the flight to Noi Bai International Airport to provide the passenger with immediate medical assistance.
A spokesperson for the airline said, “when a situation like this arises, our passenger’s safety is of utmost importance to us.
“The decision to divert the flight was made to ensure the passenger could receive the best possible care needed. The remaining passengers and crew were flown on the next available flight to Seoul.”
