Vietnet Distribution JSC is now an official distributor in Cambodia for global cybersecurity firm LogRhythm.
The partnership comes at a momentous time, with the country developing its digital infrastructure and the government aiming to turn Cambodia into a predominantly digital economy by 2025.
Headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, LogRhythm has been present in Asia since 2014, supporting organisations tackle the rising challenge of cyber-threats through its security intelligence solutions.
By expanding its presence to Cambodia through Vietnet, LogRhythm aims to enhance the country’s cybersecurity standards through cutting-edge products, said Simon Howe, regional director of sales for Asia Pacific and Japan.
He said the firm’s security intelligence solutions are geared towards the banking and finance, retail, and healthcare sectors, as well as government agencies.
“Threats are evolving and traditional protection technology is just not enough. We need to have a more proactive approach and more advanced technology to face these new threats,” Mr Howe said.
“We are very happy to be here and to launch our business in the Kingdom,” he said. “Our technology will help today’s organisations face more advanced and sophisticated challenges.
“Cyber-attacks of varying scales are happening all around the world targeting companies and disrupting their operations. As Cambodia digitises, companies here will also become a target, and therefore need to ensure that they build their resilience against these attacks.
“I believe we can help businesses in Cambodia become more effective in detecting real threats, especially where traditional methods of prevention have proven inadequate,” he added.
